Female Necromancer and female Mesmer are the only good looking ones.
All the rest is really ugly. This isn't a personal preference, it's the cold hard truth. God made me the absolute, infallible authority on GW armor aesthetics. It's a bit of a burden, but I carry it with pride. If you disagree, you're either deluded, playing the devil's advocate or suffering from a lapse in good taste so severe that it's probably ruining other, more serious, aspects of your life as well. See a shrink.
Just so you all know.
Oh, by the way, /notsigned.

FoW armor is more of a bragging right than for looks, though some do look pretty good.
Personally I think the dervish armor is very... very... plain. It looks like almost every other Dervish armor set.

Due to the fact that some people like some of the armors, I would personally say no changing them. And as for making another set of "elite" armor, I would think quite a few people would be upset, since many people did buy it simply for the prestige. Which is perfectly reasonable. Of course, there is always the option of dropping the cost of the FoW armor and giving refunds to people (a la Razah), but again, I agree that that time would be better spent fixing other things.
In other words, sorry, but /notsigned.
And by the way, I like the Paragon, Ritualist, Male Mesmer, and Male Elementalist. Only a "maybe" on the Ranger and Dervish, though. >>

the only sets that i personally liked - female necro and female mesmer - i bought. i also have the female ranger chest piece with 15k studded leather, but i just like how those look together, not the whole set.
as has been mentioned, if you like it, buy it. if you don't, don't. it really is that easy, and it's the same concept with 1.5k and 15k armor. i see ugly armor all the time, that's why i DON'T BUY IT.

I actually like the appearence of FoW armor, expecially on the Ritualist, Elementalist, Monk, Paragon, and Necromancer.
The warrior is alright in my eyes, as is the mesmer, the ranger, assasin, and Dervish could use some work though.
But hey, you can't please everyone.

you can get vabbi, primeval, the 15k Tyrian and canthan sets and all the Norn armors. As has been said before, the FoW isn't really elite, anymore. DoA is harder(at least before Ursanway). It was made to look like brutish armor forged in the Fissure of Woe with gobs of ecto and obsidian.
There are plenty of choices, and guess what? Anet has a little priority called GW2. After EotN, the next fresh design anyone will see will be in that game.

the only obsidian armor i like is the ritualists. but i cannot stand any FOW armor dyed black, except monk, but on everything else it completly takes away the detail in the pieces and makes it look like absolute gabarge.
when will people learn that black is the ugliest color to dye about 90% of the armors in GW.

I love Elementalist FoW, it gives me a big X-Men movie vibe with sculpted leather. rawr...
And Warrior FoW, i love the grimy dark cast iron texture of it.
To each his/her own.
The only thing i would change is for higher resolution on textures.

Couldn't agree more.

Some like it
Some don't.
Either way, it's personal preference and doesn't actually affect anything.
Sort of like choosing Luxon or Kurzick for a faction.
c wut i did thar?

Instead of changing appereance, it would be so much smarter to add extra bonus or something to the 15k / fow armors, it's annoying buying something worth 1m that does same effects as 1k armor.

Oh but then they'd be catering to the farmers, the ebayers, the botters, etc. by giving them an advantage over the casual players. This can't happen, it would go against their ideals as a company to make this game casual player friendly, something you can put down today and pick up 3 months from now and not miss a beat.
Other than of course the berating people with no lives, maxed titles, 1337-sauce weapons and armor, /rank emotes and other showoff goodies put upon those who this game was originally designed for.
I'm torn on giving obsidian armor an advantage. You pretty much need to farm your ass off to afford it...because drop rates are so low and you need so friggin many of each item. I mean...one person who is lucky enough to get a decent team of 8 people to clear UW the way it was intended on average gets about 3 ectos per 4 hour clear. In order to afford obsidian on just ONE of their characters, that player would need to play 140+ hours of nothing but Underworld, then another 100 or so hours of FoW just to have the materials for it. Casual? Ha! Then they nerf farming that increases the hourly rate of acquisition of these items to allow said players to spend more time actually playing the game with their new spiffy set of armor!
Is it balancing the economy, or is it keeping people from exploiting the system, getting what they want and then playing casually more often, putting less traffic on the servers which puts smaller numbers on the financial reports to investors?

Please explain me what advantage do botters farmers and ebayers have compared to casual player?
Do you have more energy, more armor, more health when having FoW armor on?
Do you deal more dmg, have faster recharging/casting times, higher attributes, when you have an end game weapon?
Imagine what would happen if there was no major money sink in GW.
And use collector items if you find FoW too expensive, they are free.

Huh? What in the world are you talking about? I fail to find what you are "lmao" at, unless you didnt even read part of what I said.
I am only stating that with FoW likes and dislikes being largely preference, there will never be unanimous agreement on which sets need to be redesigned vs which are well-liked. There will always be someone who likes a particular FoW set. In this topic alone I and someone else mentioned we really liked ele FoW while someone else said they thought it was among the worst.
Count what numbers? No need. Couldnt even get agreement among some 20 posts up until that point in this topic.
